Hi Guys,

the passenger door on my 944 Cab looks like it could do with some adjustment - its a few mm low when it hits the catch and rides up on the catch when pushed closed.

There doesn't seem to be much movement in it so I'm guessing it just needs adjustment somewhere.

I suspect this would be inside the door somewhere so just thought I'd ask before taking the door cards off.

Thanks

Hmmm,

having investigated this a bit further, it looks like there is no front-rear hinge adjustment inside the door (only in-out via the hinge bolts on the A Pillar) - so the only way to lift the rear edge of the door is to add a shim between the lower hinge and A pillar?

Am I correct?

A very annoying issue.

Experienced it twice - fixed it twice with new hinges & pins (available from Porsche). The pins & rubber sleeve / coating in the hinge wear down.

Hi Simpkin,

by "Hinge" do you mean just the part that bolts to the A pillar?

Did you need to do top & bottom at the same time and how difficult was it?

Many thanks
