Ok, it's time I started to smarten up the inside of the car ...

I've got a few holes on the console for switches, but don't know what should go in there or whether some should be blanked off.

So, of the six holes I've got 1) mirror switch 2) Central locking and 3) Roof up/down

I've also got a space for a switch alongside the dash light rheostat - what goes there??

Clues welcome

G

Switch next to the dash light rheostat is for the heated rear windscreen - so not fitted to a cab. :D

One of the centre console switch blanks would have had a rear hatch wiper switch too...

I know that one of the holes is for the aux front lighting so that leaves two with jobs to do ...

Another switch option on the centre console is the headlamp levelling control....

Ooooh not sure if I had that one ..... I'll have to look for some wire codes.

Can take a picture of the dashboard switches on mine if you like? Mine's also an S2 cab.

Fantastic - thanks ... this is where not having an owners manual is a regular PITA

Sorry, for the delay - I had the rare offer of a baby sitter last night, so went out with my wife for beer and curry. Anyway, here you go. The only bits that are missing are the little knobs from the heater sliders.

Cheers,
Bryan

That;s fantastic .. thanks!!

I'll have to check the wire codes to see if I've got the headlamp levelling system or whether it's the aux light switch - which you haven't got ...

Cheers

Looked at mine last night,

its the same as briggy's, other than the 3 switches on the console are not in the same order - roof switch is on the left.

Incidentally, anyone got one of those screw covers as shown in the dash photo next to the fog lamp switch. I ordered one from my OPC but is was dark grey in colour rather than black and the clips snapped when I fitted it (maybe gone brittle).

Ok, so a quick update ...

I've been watching a headlamp levelling switch on Eb'stards, so checked the last spare connector under the console which has brown, green and red/yellow wires. Bonus - the leveling switch on the Bay has the same ... switch bought!

So - the next question is ....

The driving lights at the front, do they come on with main beam or are they supposed to be switchable (they were in my old 24...) . The fog lights will illuminate (at a guess) with the switch on the dash to the right side of the steering wheel ...

The driving lights come on with the main beam only, the switch on the center console was a feature on the early square dash models only. And yes the fog lights are the switches to the right of the steering wheel and they only work when the sidelights/headlights are on.
