Need a new gear shift gaitor

Hi all I have seen a new shift gaitor on ebay from top gaitors grey leather with grey stitching.

Anyone got experience of the quality of these or any others.

fitted one of that vendors to my 968 fitted quite well only needed some minor fettling, nice product good value for money

I have an all black one fitted on my car with the matching arm rest cover ...really good IMHO

Take time fitting it....should be glued if you want the tight OEM look and a hair drier will remove all the creases on top, with a bit of fettling you can not tell it from a Porsche one

Thank you for the response guys I know your cars of of very high standards so I am going to get one.

On the fitting side you say glue to gain the Oe look, would that be a dab of impact adhesive on both lever and gaitor?

Any other fitting tips would be great.

I bought one of these for my 944T. Arrived really quickly and initial impact is good. Leather is very good quality and smells good! Comes with good fitting instructions and a contact number for any problems/advice.

The instructions say to insert the lever in to the gaitor from the bottom but no matter how much I tried I could not stretch the leather over the knob at the top of the gear lever. I phoned the number on the instructions and they recommended heating the gaitor with a hairdryer but still a no go. I then tried inserting the lever in to the gaitor the other way and had more joy. It took a long time and lots of reheating with the hairdryer but eventually I managed to get it fully on and to the right position. Some contact adhesive around the top before inserting the plastic cap finished the job off nicely and the leather has shrunk back to give a really good fit with no wrinkles or creases. Looks fantastic in comparison to the worn and torn original. Great colour match to my burgundy interior.

Overall for the price I think these are well worth it. You just need a lot of patience and perseverance to fit it properly.

Has to go in from the top, then massage it so the top cap goes in without wrinkles,

That's the one comes with grey stitching as well, My gaitor that is now fitted has a tiny amount of leather missing,still want to change it though. I just want the interior as good as It can be.

I've got a new gaiter ready to fit to my S2 but I can't seem to find a decent how-to guide online to aid fitting. If anyone can point me towards one it would be appreciated.

The tricky part to me seems to be the top cap. Has anyone got any tips for 1) removing the cap and 2) reinstalling it once the new leather is in place?
