The blower in my 944 doesn't blow onto the windscreen. I did the contortionist bit and found two rods that move levers. Those two were fine, so the one I want must be well hidden behind the center console. When I find it, I would rather not wait weeks for the part to put it back together so was going to get the part in advance? Anyone know if the clips are all the same and anywhere that sells them or should I just ring the opc? It's an awful part to get at btw and i'm small!!

OPC is best they are not expensive but it is 2 parts

The plastic bit that breaks and the metal bit that stops it breaking :D

Thanks, and for the picture because the ones I saw didn't have the metal bit. One looked like it had been glued by the po, but hey it works. Looking at the clarkes manual it looks like the best way to get at the windscreen one is above the stereo slot??
will try opc. :)

Thanks :)
Was the dash off in that photo???
ooh bloomin hell, that view does look awful to get to. I hope i can get at it from the front, dont want to touch the dash. I would settle for it being permenantly "open" to the screen tbh, but I can't get to it without moving that rod I don't think.. Shudders...

on the plus side I have fixed the blower so it blows 2-4 by doing that only944 blower fix which seemed to work.

If I find a good way in I'll post pics for the next sucker :)

yes that's the dash out - I know because my 968 is currently in that state whilst i fit a/c.

removing the glove box lid and interior gets you some room but i'm not sure if you can get to the fittings. I'd take passenger seat out unless you're made of rubber.

Dash removal isn't that bad more bravery than anything - clarks guide is pretty good - just watch the fixings round the steering wheel trims as these aren't well described or pictured (especially almost invisible ones on column).
