Hi everybody, please help before I get an elephant to sit on the back of my car. I have replaced both hatch pins and the plastic nut inserts as the hatch rattled and clicked. No matter how I adjust the pinds I either have a rattle/click from the hatch or it doesn't latch. Neither are desired! Tailgate rubber is new and the pin locks are greased and working. Many thanks in advance. ![]() |

Are you sure it's the pins that are rattling and not the struts or something like that? Have you checked the catch mechanism nuts on each side? |

There's a chance the glass has de-laminated from the frame and this is the rattle your hearing, quite common now on 944s and a nightmare of a job to reseal i believe, best option is to replace the hatch with another that's in better condition. |

I have done all you have done and mine still rattles. I think it is a case of de laminated window as I do have a leak in one area of the window seal. I'm going to quick fix and look out for a good replacement. Wish there was a place to get the windows relaminated as a replacement would be a gamble. |

Sunroof guides! I have been in the motortrade for over twenty years and work with some of the best cars in the world, but sometimes it takes your eleven year old son to diagnose things! |

Like previous poster I too had untold rattles despite doing everything catches, struts, lock -- then it became obvious when the glass rattled away from the frame at top of rear window -- replaced whole rear window hatch and hey presto no more rattles I miss those rattles now ..... ha ha no way!! I have turned the radio down quite a lot too....... |
