Porsche 944 Option Code....

Here's a strange one, the first option code in my cars handbook is C48, after checking all the online decoding sites I'm still none the wiser as to what it actually is.
The car was 1st registered in Ireland, do they have a separate code instead of the usual C16?

It is strange, as that code does not exist :?:

C08 & C18 are Japan
C45 is Singapore
C98 is non specific RHD

They do have other country codes. After a lot of digging I found that my mystery code is for Hong Kong spec. Married up with my log book which shows the first owner as a guy in Hong kong. My car is clearly well travelled.

Can't remember where I finally found the code. I think it was a US site.

Hong Kong spec is obviously 500bhp with concealed machine guns! :lol:

if they followed the VAG codes it was for Operating permit, alteration
