Thought I'd share a few pics of where I'm up to with the build/resto of my 924 turbo. My apologies to all the purists out there for the colour change but I couldn't live with a gold and brown car!
I've owned the car 2005 and in that time I've done exactly nothing with it. I did consider a gts rep but decided to keep the car stock (apart for the colour)
The pictures tell their own story with regard to the resto.
I must say a BIG thanks to Ste painter in Carlisle and Tim for their help. Ste is also the owner and the painter of the Turbo cup which is being restored.

I wouldn't call myself a purist, but its a real shame you didn't stick with a pretty rare turbo only dual tone colour option. A real, real shame........

I think this colour is spot on

However at least its being saved rather than broken up. So keep the updates coming so you can get back into my good books :D

PS - you can find the proper boot and door sill decals here http://www.werk924.com/index.php?option ... &Itemid=26 they are OEM quality and NLA from Porsche. The 'PORSCHE' bum decal is available from your Porsche centre and worth the extra £ versus the cheaper copies.

at least it keeps it on the road.

the paint job looks a decent standard.

its interesting and this has come up a few times recently, but 924s seem to have less of the big rust / sill issues.

the white imo looks better than the pretty rank brown, fine for a trailer queen car but not one that gets used!

Thanks for all the comments good and bad. It would be a dull old world if we were all the same.

White? It's not really my colour but I just quite fancied this old turbo (strath44) in GP white over blue!
This car has never ceased to amaze me as to just how good it is. There is zero rust, and apart from a couple of dings it in really good order.

We'll see how it turns out over the comming months cheers

keep the pics coming always interesting to see!

apologies the "924s" in my comment above was a reference to the plural of 924, not as in a 924s the later 2.5 na variant.
