Post subject:  Strange Clicking Noise - Porsche 944?

Hi,

Recently woke up my 944 s2 from a slumber of about 5-6 weeks, intially it was a bit reluctant to start and then fired up as usual. Unfortunately after a few minutes of idling I could hear a loud clicking noise from underneath the dash. It wasn't happening all the time but when I could hear it, it was quite loud and after sticking my head underneath the dash I traced the noise to what appears to be the left hand side of the drivers footwell.

Just wondered if anyone knew what this could be, am guessing some sort of relay but not sure what it could be controlling? Apart from the intermittent noise, the car seems to be running as usual and still drives / accelerating well.

Cheers,
Peter

I might be wrong but I thought the alarm module was in the passenger foot well, mine does that noise from time to time I found it was a relay on the side of the heater box, changing the temp of the heater made it go away
