I had a serious hot start/running issue which I traced to damage at the start of the wiper track in the AFM. I've altered the wiper position previously so moved the wiper again and now the contacts are probably on the last good part of the track. At some point I will need a new AFM, a proven MAF/MAP piggyback setup or full standalone. The Rogue setup with the re-engineered DME looks good but it's unobtainable. The plug and play 944 standalone setups I've found are from the US or Aus and cost big bucks with import duty and set up. So, quite a few 944 owners will be in the same position in the future, what is your plan ?

I've got a spare AFM if you are after one.

I've chosen the Augment Automotive route... Should be receiving parts in the next week so won't be too long until I can see how it is

This should answer your problem; retrofitted plug and play standalone into your original DME unit with no AFM/MAF required. A good few people on here are now running this and it seems to be very highly regarded. The fella who owns the company/built the set up is a member on here...

Yes I've been following Augment but up to now haven't seen any dyno results. Not a reflection on Tom but I read something where he was asking Josh from Rogue Tuning about engine management during the development of the Augment setup...

His customer service has been great so far and has communicated throughout. I'm quite looking forward to getting my parts and getting the car mapped

I have no knowledge or affiliation with him and I'm playing devils advocate here, but put yourself in his shoes you'd be keen to know what the competition are up to when developing a new product. And the two products are quite different... But you're right, I've not seen any real results or feedback from customers as of yet (surely someone on here has an Augment system mapped up?..) but he's worth getting in touch with for a chat at the very least IMO. If it's as good as he claims, then it's probably the most complete answer for serious 951 tuning. Maybe.

Ouchy! Although that's somewhere near the cost of the Vitesse kit as I understand it? Yes it's a bucket load of money (to me) but potentially the most complete package...

Thanks. The car is fine at the moment and strangely it's running mid to high 14's on the AFR gauge while cruising, which is something it never did consistently in the past .
