I've bought one!

I have been looking for ages, after missing several Rally Timer sets at £500-ish (because they were too dear - theyre now closer to £1,500-ish!), I have found a new old stock 542.817 and I am really excited. I suspect that the matching 289.801 (or 299.855 24hr) Master-Time clock will be elusive, though...

Well done Simon. I'd like one, if not the Rally pair ideally. Alas I just bought an LSD gearbox for my car, so funds are again limited

Thanks Steve. I know where there might be another when you come to buy...

I have pretty much run out of space after buying a full script Sport Seat / Tombstone interior last week. Its almost perfect so I couldn't turn it down, despite not having an early car to put it in.

I have also bought a NOS TAG Heuer Microsplit 1010 to go with the Heuer 1010 that I already had. :D

It makes me ever-so slightly tumescent... :)

You can also buy a conventionally cased stopwatch with a similar movement and 12hr disc. The same vendor has one of those too, for a reasonable-ish US$500.

I have a pair of Breitling 1/10th stopwatches and Ive just bought a used 12hr Breitling stopwatch to match them. it has a 12hr dial at the 6 O'clock position rather than a disc, but I suspect that it uses the same movement all the same.
