As per the title. 1991 S2manual
Slight whine from the rear end,sounds like gearbox.

Being as its probably the original oil (112k) i was thinking of changing it

Mine has a sniff over 80k on it. It was fairly noisy and once hot the changes were slightly sticky feeling.
After reading lots of positive reports on Royal Purple I bought some (2 quarts) from Promax. It ain't exactly cheap, but a fifty mile drive later and the difference was worth every penny.

The changes are much better (even into reverse), and the whole thing just feels happier. It even (slightly) reduced the lay shaft noise in neutral. I dunno how old what came out was, but it did not look great with a dark brown watery look to it.

No doubt there will be other options, but I would use it again.
