Hmmm - passenger side seat back adjuster motor appears to be cream crackered.

I started with the switch - no joy, then swapped the supplies over - the seat lifting switch (that works) didn't actuate the motor, then 12v fly lead direct to motor confirmed my suspicions.

So, any thoughts about a repair ot has anyone got a 'spare' kicking around that's for sale??

Cheers

Cancel that..

Thinking there was nothing to lose by having a go I pulled the motor apart to find the armature rusted to the field magnets. Jiggled it a bit to loosen it off and pulled it out easily enough. Five minutes with some emery cloth and we were all lovely and clean again. Cleaned the commutator then greased the worm drive before relocating the shaft in the gearbox. The brushes were a bit fiddly but they eventually cooperated, followed by the field magnet casing.

So, ten minutes in all and ended up with a reconditioned motor!

Might help someone else in the future..
