Not a good day. Cars thrown another wobbler. Power steering pump which was leaking a bit. (Another ordered.) Front bearing colapsed on the way to Kendal today. Had to slow down to 50  (Smell of burning & grating metal sounds.) Perhaps it's as well as the top hose then split. (About 10mm) Just as I entered the town. Well at least it got me there. (Mum happy.) Bought the biggest bottle of water I could find. Refilled the cooling system. (Left it to bleed itself throught the split.) Drove back with the Rad cap off at 50 again. Stopping only to check the water level. Made it back but afriad to use it again until fixed. I could have called the AA but given the number of cars on the hard shoulder it's as well that I didn't. Think I would still be there. :blackeye:
Didn't use much petrol like normal. B' boring though.

Jeez, you're not having much luck mate, sorry to hear it :(

I know you're resourceful and you'll get it sorted.

Front wheel bearing is not so bad - that was the first job I did on mine so if I can manage... ;)

How much is the top hose going to be? Should also be straightforward, which I suppose is a blessing of sorts.

£20.45 + Vat. Front bearing on the power steering pump. (Don't always say what I mean. Dislexic thing.) On the plus side. Nothing left to replace but the steering wrack & the alternator  Tommorrow nights the area meet. Think my cars shy??
