Hi
I'm just about to do this job on my rear beam. The beam is off on the ground and teh old main bushes (at the end of the sills) are removed. How do you pull through the new bushes - do you just pull them through and let the narrow end lip fold back on itself or do you try squeeze the end lip forward into the hole first?

I assume you are using OEM bushes .....If so these are a real pain to do :(

I,m happy to try most jobs but after righting up various puller devises, and trying pressing etc I gave up......In the end I took the parts to my local Porsche OPC they did it for £25 (took them a lot longer than they expected so get a fixed price)

I Powdercoated the hangers so I think I had a harder job than most, if you want to try it then the curved end of the bush goes in first and it folds back on itself ...given the cost of the bushes and the chance of ripping one I was happy to pay Porsche to do it

Thanks. Yes they are original parts. Nearest opc to me is too far away. Once I know they fold back on themselves I'll attempt it myself.

OK I struggled with this for a while tonight and it was turning into a total ***t of a job trying to get the bush in by folding the lip back on itself. But I figured it out and I'm posting pictures for anyone else that might be tackling this.

I decided there is no way the lip was going to go in folded back on itself so sat back and thought about it. I decided that the lip needs to fold forward rather than back so used a hose clip to hold it forward. I could only catch the larg lip with the hose clip, the small lip kept slipping. So I'm guessing that is actually why the larger lip is on one side in the first place. Just pulled it through the hole then with a threaded bar. It went in very easy in the end.
