I've just bought one of the last 924S's to be built and registered in 1988. It's a very tidy car that is mechanically very tight with lots of history. It just has some accident damage on one wing and a bit of bubbling round the aerial hole on the other. There are also a couple of small electrical faults.
The central locking does not work, so before I start ripping out the door panels are there any top tips/common problems that I should check out first? The same goes for the headlamp wash system.
I've been very lucky and obtained 2 new wings and a lower valance from an abandonded restoration project which I'm going to get painted up and swap over. The new wings do not have any holes for the aerial. I don't really want to drill a hole in the new wing as I think it spoils the look of the car. Has anyone got any experiance of concealed aerials and could anyone recommend a perticular product?
