A trial fit to the car and the offset is wrong! way too far in.
I wanted them to sit "in" as I plan to drop it but not this far!

They were on a later porsche and my early car is a different offset.

(the rim in this pic is not finished yet)

So, as you can see I need spacers.. (as they are from a late offset strosek 928)
My god ! they are expensive, on ebay a new set costs around £300 for what I need :(

But..i found a second hand set on ebay, and the gent agreed to end now for half that figure. Still a lot, but when you are up the creek with no paddle....

Anyway a few days later a box arrived-

2x 35mm and 2x 42mm hubcentric spacers.

sorted.

Didn't realy want ripped pinstripe seats in my minty shell so i bought Recaro, electric/ heated porsche logo seats, mint & no wear as from a LHD 964. .

Also did not want a red momo wheel in there as before so..

I have a plan for the rear later.

I was happy at this point.
A rust free 944, undersealed, new water pump, clutch, belts...and tidy inside.
I had built what had seemed impossible to buy at a fraction of the cost.

BUT

The wheels - impossible to keep nice on a daily with bare alloy dishes in winter and i didnt like the spacers
also i had to "hack" the front hubs to get the spacers on.

So i changed the wheels, propper early offset (from a 930) so no spacers and they fill the arches.

Rare Azev A, 10x17 & 8.5x17.

I wanted the old spacers gone so i could fit these-
86" turbo brakes (hubs/discs/ect and had to swap legs as my oval dash ones didnt bolt up.

And went for a chip & cone filter. Not real power, but better.
