Hi

My usually smooth 944 S2 cab seems to have got very juddery especially when changing down from 3rd to 2nd.

It had a new clutch 10k ago so don't think that is the issue, but when it was on the ramp I noticed that there was quite a lot of lateral movement on the gear box.

Should there be any movement there and if I change the mount (stupid price!) is that likely to sort out the issue?

There is a lot of movement, enough to make the shafts either side clunk with a firm push.

Thanks

Ant

I'd suggest to do the mounts on the box. I've read in a couple of places that they can make a juddering down shifting.
