Stuck in traffic on the way back from Simply Porsche on Sunday, I noticed the gear stick gaiter was very warm, as was the cubby hole under the radio. Concerned that the Jelly Babies I had brought for the 350 mile round trip (that were in the cubby hole) would melt, I did the sensible thing and ate them double quick, so that solved that problem. I did feel a bit queasy tho

To resolve the original problem of heat in the cabin, I ordered a replacement rubber boot (the old one was split in several places) from Porsche Sutton Coldfield (£12.50 - bargain!). Whilst I was at it I ordered a vinyl headed bung that fills screw holes in the interior. One has been missing since I got the car and I've been meaning to sort it out for 3 years.....

It's amazing what's still available for a 24 year old car from Porsche.

David
