hello,

i have a really tidy 924S (which is going to new owner tomorrow) its been fine, runs prefect idles perfect.

sat there this morning idling until warm enough to kick in fan (just wanted to check it was all working prior to going to new guy).

turned it off.

it rained and bonnet was open but it didn't look too wet under there.

jumped in to take for fins blast and idling really low and lumpy. then when you hit the throttle it does short bursts of revving up.....

HELP

ok, i have bridged dme and no difference, i have checked cam timing, i have direct wired fuel pump, i have squirted wd40 on every joint i can see... no difference.

it will hold revs at about 1200, smooth and steady. idles about 400, won't rev above 1200...... it ran fine earlier

i changed the throttle position sensor, coil, cranks sensors, dme, checked air leaks,

turns out a dodgy connection on ECU was culprit! couple of drops of water caused me a weekends worth of grief!

SORTED now....
