As per the title, I have to manually return the ignition key from the start position.

The problem is nothing to do with the electrical part of the switch (already replaced that). I know the switch barrel can be removed by drilling a hole in the right spot (have the details), but can the return spring be replaced or will I need to replace the key barrel completely?
