Back when the 968 was made Porsche had not been using the classic Fuchs design for over 5 years and it is only recently that Fuchs started making the classic design in 17, 18 and 19 inch. On the website you linked to, one of their menu items is "Fuchs wheels" because they are dealers for the new larger Fuchs classic design wheels. Originally I think all four of the original Turbo RS 968 had 18 inch split rim speedlines robbed from the leftovers of the 964 Turbo production line, although I know two of the original cars no longer have these and have different wheels installed. The Turbo S 968 was made 10 times as many numbers, sum say as much as 30 times as many and I have seen these with various wheels, ranging from CUP1's CUP2s which would have been original factory wheels from back then and nearly the only wheels Porsche had on production lines other than the Winterrad and targa wheels. |
