Since ive taxed the 944 ive done around 130 miles in it in different traffic conditions and apart from a leaking radiator its drove very well.

However since i parked it up there was a very heavy downpour 2 nights ago and when i tried to start it yesterday morning it won't start?

It looked a like it was near the red on the fuel gauge so i put a jerry can's worth in but it still wont fire up, it turns over but doesnt even attempt to start up at all.

Any ideas?

(Its a 86' 2.5 lux)

Could knackered plug leads, see if you have a spark & also check in the dark to see if the spark is leaping from the leads to the fuel rail. This happened with mine. WD 40 may help. Pull the plugs & check the gap if it's massively wide should be (0.6-0.7) then you stress the rest of the ignition system big time.
