Its cheap and it says the sills were done. tho imo if the sills were done properly, it would not have those awfull grp things on. price just makes me think its a money pit. But i could be totaly wrong!

I saw this too.
If you had just done the sills, wouldnt you want to leave off those awful "things" bolted to the side of it,just to show the work had been done?
All the other Cabbys on ebay are around £8k , makes you wonder why they didnt just start the price higher,or have a reserve.

I wouldn't say "just" done 3.5 Years is a long time and if they were repaired badly or not protected afterwards then you would need some shitty plastic to cover up the job. And with out proper protection after 3.5 years they will be well on their way to being rotten through again!

But who knows he might have done a puka job

I thought the sill covers (as shown on the S2 cab) were factory-fit 'Turbo' covers, as an awful lot of 944s seem to have them from new? My 88 'S' had them fitted and although I refinished them, once I saw how nice the car looked with well repaired sills I have resisted the urge to refit them.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, but am I sensing a real dislike for these items now? I do admit they are a brutish styling statement!

I dont think they work on a cabriolet, especially in white
They look ok on a red tintop though.
Like you say,its a personal thing,a bit like my boot spoiler that will probably eventually come off.

I have a set on my coupe. They've been on it for at least 20 years judging by the photos that came with the car. We have a debate in our household, I want to remove them and the wife wants to keep them.

They are definately a 'marmite' addition.....but nobody has ever said they dislike them on my car...more positive than negative I guess....it might be a colour thing as my car is Sapphire, but I've also seen them on white cars and they looked fine to me.

So for now I'll keep the shitty plastic bits on the side...until I maybe get bored one day
