well got the brakes up to scratch coming together bit by bit ![]() when i took the back discs off to check why the offside hand-brake was not holding i found that there was only one spring holding the shoes on ![]() seems who ever had played with the brakes last time had dropped the other between the shoes and back-plate, so he left it there ![]() if people dont know what they are doing then dont do it ![]() ![]() ![]() rant over. Glad its OK, the springs break if reused so that's why it's floating inside, did you replace them all? |

yep new bits again thats why its still not up and running yet, you find a little thing like the one spring missing then you order it and jobs stopped for another day till it comes. Dave |

Thats the main problem with a classic. It's not till you get it in bits that you know what you need. Then your waiting for the postman. Been waiting a couple of weeks for my sunroof cable. Where is it? |
