hi all i am wanting to seal the sunroof on my 944 can i use silicon sealant or acrylic to fill in the gap till summer or would i be better off putting tape around. I have a bag over sunroof at mo as it has a crack in it but looking at condensation in it today and water on plastic left over rear seats the water is still getting in and the drips were on sunroof part, thanks |

Take the sunroof out and put vaseline and lots of it all around the seals for a short term fix, will leave a lot less mess than sealant or tape. |

If there is excessive damp in the car, the sunroof is the first place it will collect. Then of course it will drip from there. |

If you don't mine a mess, electric tape the body work, just running inside. Do the same on the sunroof. Tape over drain hole. Then fill with slicone ( black and water proof ) clear turn s white with water contact, and finish with a wet finger, will need to be inside as it won't like the damp or rain till its set. Tape Is there just to stop it making a mess off the paint when U fix it next. And stop you trying to get a tidy finish as the more you play, the worse your make it. 3/4 perfect then a bit will left. Your want an old towel and shallow blow off water. Once set 2 days you maybe able to remove the tape. Another fix MIT be a used black sunroof, shouldn't look to odd against most colours |
