Hi all, Such a simple job and I've ballsed it up  . I thought I would change the nuts that hold the top front suspension mounts as mine were looking rusty, and I've managed to shear one off  .

I wouldn't mind (as much) but I changed the front struts complete with top mounts a couple of years ago and I only recently threw the old ones away. So if anyone has a top mount kicking about they want to sell me I'd be very grateful. It's the earlier type mount.

Then you will want to be talking to broady_6 a few days ago he posted that he has found a source for these from the VW parts bin at an astonishing price!

If your talking about the bolts that hold the mounts to the body then simple, drill or knock the broken bolt out and replace with an M8 bolt and nyloc nut, but if its the strut top nut you'll need to replace the strut

Yep, great idea, my ones have been chromed, so I would have ended up with an odd pair. Also that saves a lot of ag taking the strut out. Thanks!
