The cruel paradox of performance cars. Cold weather equals more power, but also equals less traction.

Yep, scared myself this morning when I floored it in 2nd whilst pointing in a straight line, boost came on strong and the car yawed 30deg to the left. Not helped by still running Yoko A048's!! This makes for lots of low speed, high torque fun .......

:D When traction goes away and boost comes in it gets interesting, at least there's a heavy gearbox back there to help, I remember my 300+ bhp Cosworth getting out of shape much earlier :x .

Even my lowly S seemed to be running better today, she managed to twitch mid corner on the way to work!

Roads must have been a bit slippy!

My turbo is not a Porsche but a Quantum 2+2 with an RS turbo in it. Trouble is its on SORN for the winter plus its fwd so spins up easily, but when April comes :bounce:

HaHa!! No, not lowly as such, just a little overshadowed by the brutish Turbo's!! I do suffer from Turbo envy, but didn't have the budget!

In fairness, I was just surprised, didn't think she had it in her!!

The 968 has proved a little "entertaining" in the colder weather, it puts a smile on my face every morning :D

On what I felt was a plod, had the rear kick out in 2nd at 40, dispite 285.

Guess all this extra power, just shows what a good intercooler and cold air intake can do
