I have decided I am probably going to remove the engine on my 924 turbo race car, and replace all the components that may have aged and deteriorated, mainly hoses and gaskets etc.

any headaches when removing the engine? and best way out the top or bottom??

also are all the parts available from Porsche, engine gaskets, hoses, exhaust gaskets etc etc.

I also have a new refurbished turbocharger to fit to the car while the engine is out

on the 944 turbo there were some parts that could be removed under the inlet to make things simpler. is there anything similar to do on the 924t to make the engine more simple in its operation, or anything that can be removed due to the fact its a race/track car only.

many thanks
nick

well that was easy, the engine is ready to drop on Monday once I get the crane in the workshop, everything is disconnected and ready to drop, one of the easiest engine drops I have done!
