just looking into the wheels fitted to the cgt. it says the rears were 8x16 et10, plus wheel spacers? does anyone know what thickness spacers were used to get the correct wheel fitment?

there are also 9x16 et15 fuch wheels available, so depending on the spacers used on the 8j, the 9j wheel may be able to be used to avoid use of spacers.

the 9j wheels would only fit 7.5mm wider than the 8j wheels on the outside edge, but would be 20mm wider on the inside edge.
if I decided to go down the route im contemplating, the wider rear wheels would come in handy for maximum grip/traction.

many thanks
nick

In all likelihood theyll be the same spacers and elongated studs later used on the series one 944.

Fronts usually 7x16 ET23.3, Rears 8x16 ET10. At a guess it may retain the stock turbo 21mm spacer, but didn't the CGT have ally trailing arms rather than turbos steel? Therefore slightly wider rear track?

CGT's with 8 or 9'' fronts and 9'' rears look the best, but more spendy!

Hi , we used the 16 X 9J 911 Turbo alloys when building my sons. No spacers and really fills the arches well :D

fronts are 7J , we bought most of kit on a car that had been converted then stolen and vandalised(see this months mag for write up). However my son tracked down company in Birmingham who's owner has a CGT. He made cill covers and new rear bumper (its 10mm longer than standard car) I will ask him for company details

Ref NSA
you are correct real car has steel arms, never seen any advertised

Two options for panels are Pro-9 and Club Auto Sport, both in Birmingham. They wont fit very well though!

Id go for rears from a fellow called Marek at Teilecar. He does 944 front wings too (944s used a 937 pattern wing made of steel rather than PU), but I cant remember whether he only does 951 pattern or not. Anyway, his stuff will still need work, but its leagues ahead of the other GRP kit that Ive mentioned.

Id buy a bonnet off Pro-9 too (then fit a 937 scoop to it), but again, be ready with your bast*rd file...
