Hi, is the 2.5 16v exhaust different to the 8v - especially the down pipe / centre section bit that bolts to the later non-cast exhaust manifolds?

I've fitted the later manifolds from 16vS but I don't seem to be able to get them to mate up with the existing exhaust down pipes (originally 8v car with cast iron exhaust manifolds).

whenever I have converted a 8v car to a 16v car I have always used the 16v manifolds, down pipe, centre section and back box.

From memory there is a 1/4 inch difference in tube diameter too, which we ran into and why our cat deletes do not work out of the box with the 8v cars.
