Guys, does anyone know the standard diameter for the rear anti roll bar on a 944Lux manual - build date Nov 83 and delivered Jan 84? I've ordered powerflex mounting bushes but I now see there are 21mm and 14mm diameters. I'm not at home so cannot measure the bar.....or do I need bothe sizes? Thanks Jon |

I wouldn't order them without knowing for sure, you can guarantee you'll muck it up! |

14mm but it was an option. 944s didnt have a rear ARB as standard. |

18mm for a Turbo and 20mm was an option (M030) on series two cars, from memory. |

Had the same problem there are several options and someone may have fitted an alternative. Aren't those drop links expensive! Update:- if your drop links are worn Rennbay do replacement bushes at a very reasonable price! |

Thanks for the response guys. i'll just have to wait until I an measure the bar...it is definately there! ...and crikey, the cost of the drop links is scary....I cannot understand this as I'm used to pay £10-£20 per side on Alfa's, Jaguars, Subaru's etc..Even my Fiat Coupe Turbo (250 bhp/144mph fwd) used £20 drop links so why so expensive Mr Porsche? |

Have a look at aftermarket ones like Lindsay or Elephant racing, may well be cheaper. |
