Hi All

The Drivers seat foam has given up on my 1986 2.5 Lux with non-sports pin strip seats

I feel my bum is stuck between the steel rails when driving so need to slump bottom forward to get foam padding from the front of the seat under me to make the seat more comfortable

Any idea who supplies seat foam for a 944 and how easy is it to replace, the seat material otherwise is very good.

and my 944 is only 27 years old with 111,000 miles on it

cheers

Neil

You could try Southern Foam at Horsham....or google will find a local supply.

Foams used to be available from dealers, but I believe that the last one was sold a good few years ago.

Id look for a seat which has poor upholstery, ideally a passenger side, and then us its foam sections.

I had the foam in a 924 seat replaced by a trimmer in the early nineties. From memory it was Vaughan Green in Loughborough (http://www.customclassicretro.co.uk/About%20Us.html).

Of course, he is a lot better known now so he wont be quite as cheap, but itll be a top quality job. I think that I paid £40 for two seat repairs, new foam on the drivers squab and some new black and silver pinstripe, too!

Where in the country are you? I know of a great trimmer locally who could fix your seat at a competitive rate :).
