Evening all

I have noticed slight condensation on rear window and upon inspection noticed that the boot lock motor is slightly wet and a few drips on top of the inner light casing? The drain seems unblocked on the o/s latch, any ideas where this may be coming from? Cannot see anything obvious where it could come from? Odd.

Any suggestions welcome!

Stuart

Could be coming through rear light seals. I think that's where mine's coming from at least

It's above the lights. Not sure where from though.

I have exactly the same issue. the water is running along the metal ledge above the light fixture on both sides of the hatch and pooling in the bottom of the spare wheel well!

I've fitted new light seals (thought that was the source but no) Fitted a new hatch seal, still leaks, replaced the seal around the hatch key lock..no change ..made sure that the drains on the hatch locks are clear. The next stage will be to replace the hatch lock seals as these look to be original and perished, hopefully that will solve it.

My hatch lock seals were new about 3 years ago, the car has been leak free up till now. It is only a drip, just wanted to nail its origin. Maybe 10 or so drips after days of heavy rain, no puddles or anything although we might get there if I don't find the source and it worsens!

I have dried it tonight and I will check in a few days if the drips are back.

I've found one entry point for the damp that I had not noticed before. The rubber gasket where the rear wipe drive passes through the glass hatch has perished. I'll replace the (2 I think) gaskets - one either side of the glass. However I don't think that is the source of the major leak.

Well the light seems sealed 100% as does the hatch lock recess. Both passed the chuck lots of water at them tests with flying colours. It's not the hatch seal either, no water that high up. Could it just be condensation?

Confused.
