when i had the car deailed weekdend before last i cleaned the gutter out that the sunroof sits in. since then it's leaked steadlily :(

i don't really want to fill it full of vassleline to save mess as i take the roof off a fair bit, will a new sunroof seal fix it or do they all leak regardless?

wheres a good place to get a new seal?

thanks,

rick.

I think i saw a sunroof seal on ebay last night , one new for about £60 and a second hand one quite a bit cheaper.

Hope that helps :)

Did you block the drain holes when you cleaned the gutter? Careful how you poke them out. The seal isn't a total solution. The drain holes must be clear.

Speedo cable or a piece of stiff electrical wire is good. Don't go mad, you can either split the drain pipe or push them off their spigots! There are 4 drains, one in each corner.

the pre 85.5 seals are different to the later ones which are £60 (or so i'm led to believe)

Correct & I believe that their maybe different versions of those 2 as well. Bert seems to have the proper info on this & that's where mine came from.
