Probably too late but you can't remove the cambox without removing the belt. If the bolt heads are stripped you have to grind a 3/8 drive socket down to fit through the too small holes at the back of the cambox & plonk it on the outside of the bolts with a lump hammer. (Can't remeber the size but you can test it on the front ones that you can get at.) Then they should come off. The Rotor arm justs screws onto the end of the camshaft. Not even keyed. Not the best bit of design. Theres an oil gallery just grooved into the cambox so the gasket has a hard life. Be very careful not to damage the face when you take it off or it will never seal again. Your not suposed to machine them.

Also replace the seal & oring at the belt end where the camshaft comes through the box as if this goes later it will spray oil onto you new cambelt & goose it. (Don't ask me how I know.)

anyway. no mate its not too late i am uninspired today to do anything but will tomorrow. now what was you on about with the size your not sure of was it the socket or lump hammer?

this cover leaks around the dizzy so i think its a wise move to check it out, i'm only takin it off to make it look nice lol

Doing mine when it gets back from the bodyshop. Oil on the cambelt it a recipe for disaster. I have a Cometic cambox gasket to fit as well from Lindsey Racing. The last one (Ordinary.) died in 12K miles. So thats another cambelt:blackeye: Trouble is the cam seal comes in two sizes & mines had an engine swap so could be either. (Bottem end is early type. Top????) Will have to buy both

Fitted stainless blots & painted the cambox so mines pretty already

Have you got the manuels & Pet from Rick Cannels site. (Free downloads.) Very useful for part No's etc.
