Most of you have probably read about Jon's Top Gear style adventure with 924's.

I accidentally met a 924 which was advertised here ages ago.

I have now spoken to Martin on the phone and exchanged many emails, although I have not properly looked at the car. He seems to be a bit of car hoarder! Having met me, he has now latched on to the idea that the car will go to an enthusiast, and a TIPEC member. I could barely stop him talking! He has now knocked the price down to £850 and offered to accept instalments in an effort to keep me interested.

However, I don't even know if Jon's road trip will happen, and I doubt it will be this year even if so. Additionally, I really only have £400 spare at the moment, which is supposed to be going on home improvements. Thirdly, I don't have anywhere to store the car, so I'll be asking friends very nicely for a space on a farm or suchlike.

So, options:
1) Can someone else please buy it!
2) I politely tell him no thank you as I don't have the money.
3) Go to see it anyway, get a first hand opinion on it's condition and value, put potentially mislead him if I have to do option 2 regardless.
4) Go to see it, and buy it, but have another project on my hands.

Trouble is there will always be another job on your 944. Looking after two porkers can only cause grief.

Might be worth a look, but take a deep breath before committing

The 924 tours will be happening, probably starting next year, and maybe a quick trip at the end of autumn this year... But mostly this year will be planning and polling the people who are interested regarding the details.

But there will be plenty of 924's coming along in the meantime... But if this is a good one, buy it. You will not loose money on it!
