I'm trying to refit my exhaust manifolds - all the studs are removed; the engine is lifted as much as it will go as it's bolted up to the TT; the oil filter, distributor and heater return pipe has all been removed to make space to manoeuvre things around....I can't get the manifolds back in!

I've scoured the net with no joy...What's the trick maestro?

:?

btw it's a 16v

I had to 'persuade ' mine with the screw jack between the suspension strut tower and the cylinder head.It rotated the engine just enough to get the manifold in ( minus studs ).
