I have been clearing a lot out of the garage today, I came across a pair of KYBGR2 shocks they are double loop, I recall I bought them for my VW Type 3 but its already got a pair on the rear and they are to stiff for the front end as there is only the fuel tank up there. The look like they will fit on my 944 rear end nicely, and since the ones one look original and its not the sharper handling car on the bumps. I swear ive had the back end in the air during some hard braking before. As a temporay/quick fix, will these fit and be an improvement. 42cm extended 27cm collapsed. Does anyone know if they meet the spec for the stock early 944 back end? |

Super Beetle rear shocks fitted 924s. I remember some fitments listing 1303 and 924, but I cant remember if theyll fit later 924 (MY79>) and 944. |

Sounds promising! Super bugs will be the same as type 3 I might get adventurous and try to swap them |

Kayaba make shocks for 8v N/A 944s, so you should be able to buy new front struts too. |

Even better news! I think towards the end of the week ill swap the rears for my KYBs and see how it feels. Hopefully It will mean I can let a little tyre pressure out to smooth the ride. Its very jarring at the moment. Then ill look into fronts, I also need inner track ends at the front |

Well I did have a little play at the weekend. I took one old one off, theyve been sprayed in wax oil much like the rest of the car by the P/O so i cant tell what they are but they still have plenty of strength and return fully. so I put it back on and left alone for now. But I will look into fronts |
