I think there is a DIY guide over on Clarkes site: http://www.clarks-garage.com Navigate your way through the garage shop manual (accesible on LHS banner). Regards, Adam |

Here's a link to the guide http://www.clarks-garage.com/shop-manual/body-13.htm Looks like you need to remove the cover between the headlights to get it off. |

The earliest cars had the badge panel riveted/ welded on so it all depends what model you have got |

If its just the badge itself you are trying to remove ,it just pulls off.On the back of it are two pegs about an inch long, one above the other and they fit into two holes with rubber grommets in them. The difficulty is getting it started cos you can easily scratch the paint, but you need to slide something pretty thin under the badge and just work away at it a bit at a time, you need to lever at the top and bottom.I took mine off when I was having the panel painted so it didnt matter about a few scratches. |

couldn't get my badge panel off as advised on clarks when i did mine, instead i used a thin blunt screwdriver on top of a thick cloth and prised it up, to be honest it didn't take much, then just pushed the new one into the holes |

I did much the same tecnique that Lindsay did, mine didn't budge so easily. The new badge was a tight fit too. It still doesn't fit as flush as I would like. |

Looking nice ![]() A tip I picked up somewhere regarding the gasket is to soak it in hot water beforehand so it is nice and stretchy, fix it onto the back of the badge and quickly press it into place before it contracts. Another method is a dab of rubber cement before you fix it to the badge. |
