A few bits don't add up though. It has no power steering I thought by 86 it was standard? Also has a fuel consumption gauge which I thought had been binned by 86? Or is it a boost gauge? Lodge sport did loads of conversions at one point so the rest could be kosher.

Not my cup of tea. Could be interesting to insure! Prefer the look of the stock 44 anyday. :)

Shouldn't be a problem to insure on a classic policy TBH. I must admit I prefer the 944 on balance.

Agh now Neil and I were wondering about the consuption Gauge - I thought my 86 was a December model but his has the extra gauage but is also 86 so I assumed his was newer?

The reason its a good 968 replica is because i think it is a 968 or at least the shell is !!. look at the rear quarter windows they look like the bonded in type and are at a different angle at the bottom and do not fit the 944,the boot lock is in the bumper not on the back panel and the front under the bonnet looks like genuine and nothing like any conversion ive seen (ive done one myself),unless of course it had a 968 front/back end stitched onto a 944 shell. My april 86 lux has the mpf gauge as well !! PS is it my eyes or is the o/s rear quarter window at a different angle to the n/s ??
