Post subject:  Retracting the backshelf cover

My covers stuck and won;t retract. Any suggestions how to free it up? Do I need to remove it? Can I sort out in situ?

Thanks

Are the end caps still there? These are like roller blinds and this is what center pole rolls on

A lack of use does not tend to help the covers out. When you disengage the load cover from its hooks on the rear panel, try to pull it out a little further, or feed it into the roller. One of these operations will tend to help the cover along.

It certainly did in both of my 944s.

I'm still trying to find how to free the hood from the fixed into boot position. Simple as this probably is, I am somewhat simpler in mind.

I found another solution>¬ :bounce:

Leave it. I came back to it a couple of days later and it a retracted itself enough to be used again.

Clearly it needs some attention so I will spend some time tackling some basic servicing with it.

Thanks for the tips guys.
