This is a weird one.

Foolishly I didn't disconnect the battery when I pulled the indicator and wiper switches off in order to find out why the intermittent wiper wasn't working. When replacing the switches I managed to momentarily short the "light flash" connector to earth. Now my headlamps only come up about a third of the way (but cycle all the way through when switched off), don't illuminate and the fuel pump isn't working. Can't find any blown fuses.

Any ideas?

OK, just sorted the retractable light issue, now come up and down as they should - but no headlights (all others working).

All fixed - amazing how a number of items can coincidentally play-up at the same time indicating a common cause. Not so in this case - lights not working down to not getting a connector quite home. Car not running due to a bodgey "demobiliser" wired in by previous owner - can't complain though since he gave me the car!
