This dealer states the car is a 1983 944S and called it a manual, so he's probably made a typo with the price as well.

Apparently 36,000 miles, although the odometer is only 5 digits.
Dashboard is un-cracked
Bodywork appears to be good.
Classified Ad's always appear to be overpriced on eBay.

Haha! Isn't that supposed to be FSH? Otherwise what does 944 S FH mean?

That probably means 944S Fixed Head But it won't be an S as they were never autos as Jon says & were much later (88-89) & also 16Valve 2.5L
He also calls it silver but it looks glacier blue to me but that could be the rubbish pics.

it looks similar to my manual 84 944 colour which is Sapphire.

The dash looks like it is cracked by the far left vent and the seats don't match front to rear....but I'd be delighted if an auto can make that money :D ...so how much Would my genuine 72k full history car worth....probably £6k plus at the same dealer! Crikey that's nearly as much as I spent on the car in the first couple of years ownership...

What is the dealer on? Crack?

We shouldn't moan. Many a person have called the 944 a performance bargain. Maybe this is being revealed sooner than we think ;).

944's are seriously on the up at the moment, but then again, all pre 1990 to 1995 cars are.

964's are now selling for 993 money, 993's have not gone up much, if at all, but every Porsche that is pre 1995 has gone up by 20% to 80% in the last few months.

Last year I thought I did ok to sell my J reg S2 for £7k and my F reg one for £5.5k, now ones like the F-reg are selling for £7k and I think I could have got £8.5 to £9k for the J reg one.

I just broke up a 85k miles 1984 944 auto which was pretty damn tidy, but I tried to sell it a couple of years ago for £2k and had no takers.. so it slowly started being picked for bits and bobs way before it rose in value... with the current prices it would have been worth tidying it up and flogging it for maybe £4.5 to £5k I think

"Strange things are afoot at the circle-K bob."

Spent 10mins looking at this today. It is definitely no an s. Just a standard 944 the dash is cracked in 4 placed and big ones. The head liner has come away in places. The wiring for the heated screen is covered in gaffer tape. The towing eyes are black and very rough. There is paint on the screen and various trim is loose.

Its piss Poor visually. I don't know the mechanical side of it but looking inside its 135000 not 35000

wel this is still up for sale and the price has come down £1000

I expect if he were to halve that, he would stand a chance of selling it!
