Can anyone advise me the cheapest option to purchase a pair of front suspension struts for my 944S2 ? I've finally got the electrical fault fixed that has kept it off the road for 3 years ( that and money !! ) Ive had it pre tested and the main failure points were the front struts and front brake discs. I just want to get it through the mot so the cheapest option is what I'm looking for. All help very much appreciated. Cheers Paul |

Cheapest will be OEM replacements which will be SACHS or BOGE. Ask Jon for a price on here, or the standard Pork bits suppliers. You'll need to get the geometry cheked after as well. |

Consider Koni inserts. Adjustable and good quality. Not too expensive either. |

Not sure about the shocks but for discs I recently got some Sebro ones from Eurocar parts for less than £140 a pair, with the discount code from the website pads I got from Mintex standard roads ones seem to work fine and cost just over £20 think the code number is MDB1456. |

If you are a tipec member, I can beat the price on disks and shocks. I will be able to get a price on monday for the shocks for you. |

if u want a real cheap option i would be willing to sell the used struts from my 1986 turbo, as they will soon be replaced. pm for details cheers |

Sorry to hijack this thread Just saving kb's - Am new to the site, am also looking for a pair of front struts for a 1987 S1 & fitting in Surrey area or some good instructions  basically just purchased from friend, but its been off the road since MOT failed 10/10, needs them & gear linkage kit, not 100% sure if latter is front or back for the MOT - any advice?

btw my 86 turbo is a car with the later style offsets the same as an s2! i would have thought turbo struts will fit, but maybe have a slightly different damper or spring fitted?? |
