One of my hockey sticks detached and got lost on the way to work. Despite travelling the whole route slowly I cant fins it anywhere!

I've been trying to fin a replacement without having to buy the whole spoiler and came across the following website that sells what looks like a fiberglass copy of the original spoiler.

Not cheap at £70 for the hockey stick but its the best I can find so far!
Porsch-Apart want £120 per side.

A very rare item to find Porsche want £289 each ......
It looks the the fibreglass one fits without the rubber seal so you may need to get 2 sides at £70 each so they match
So the Porscha-part one seems good value to me...the seals are only £20 from Porsche
considering the amount of messing about fitting the aftermarket ones and the risk they may not work I would spend the £120 :(

There is a seller on eBay advertising them for £25. Worth a punt at that price? Seller is stuart2086.

Iv currently got both types. But not at hand.

Copy= eBay

I do know that the copy type will need bonding directly 2 the frame and glass. I tryed 2 bond with clamps but had 2 screw though from the inside off the hacth pulling the hockey stick tight 2 the frame, then cut and fill the points off the screws.

The copy don't use the rubber sills, which I think is cleaner and nicer look. However I'm not sure if the rubber could be added after as the copy maybe the same shape without the rubber, rather then the shape with. Would seem the essayist way 2 make the modle 4 the copy is 2 cast from ome peace. However the copy hockey sticks are longer under the bridge spoiler as the copy centre peace is shorter.

Also the bridge spoiler on my oem one seems 2 have a slight step in the side where it meets the hockey stick rather the fitting flush 2 it un like the copy. Could be that my oem bridge is not instoled correctly yet?

I can try and get you some pics and measurement when I can. I did make a thread when fitting don't no if the pics from that will help?

simkin2011 you got my hopes up there! You are right, but unfortunately they are for the aftermarket (replica) hoop spoiler and while they look similar they aren't the same. But thanks anyway!

thanks for the info t3rra, so are you saying the copies aren't compatible with the OEM bridge?

The copes in the link I supplied actually have the screws bonded into the fiberglass so it looks like you can just bolt them on, I wonder if these arent the same as your copies?

My copy's came from the eBay seller, the cheaper one. All the eBay hoop and 4 peace are the same. There the same Porsche shop sell 4 2x the price.

No fitting, I made all my own, with bolts as screw only good once, if u need 2 move over a mm or so the holes to close.

I don't think there the same, could be made 2 work. It's only fibre glass.

Get the ones from eBay, offer them up and see. If u think u can make them work then at least everyone else will no. If not send them back or sell on

t3rra, just to be sure.. is this the one your referring to as the ebay 'hoop'?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Porsche-924-9 ... 2ebdd2aa82

The pic below shows my understanding of the three types. The first pic is from the link above. Strangely the seller says the spoiler sits 2" taller - It looks identical to OEM to me.

Iv had both, taller one 1st didn't really no the difference till it came, but fits with the old rubber side. This was called the bridge

Hoop style and 4 pieace should be same spoiler. Come with hockey sticks.

Larger nasty type fits with rubber sides

Like you I definitely don't like the middle one.

I think I will go with the ebay replica here http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Porsche-924-9 ... 2ebdd2aa82

If the hockey sticks fit my OEM spoiler then great. If they don't I'll just fit the whole thing.

Or you could go for a whole spare boot lid and spoiler with hockey sticks, this one is on Ebay at the moment.

Think he MIT off sold his car now? I think I rember a post about selling or braking. Not 100 % sure. The hockey sticks from eBay won't replace the original type with out work. As I said b4 there longer or shorter in the middle under the bridge spoiler part

After losing the left 'hockey stick' on the motorway, I bought a replacement from Teilecar. It fitted well with the OEM spoiler but there were small differences with the right hand side.

- OEM hockey stick has a rubber seal
- OEM sits better with spoiler and covers all the fixings for the bridge wing
- Replacement needed some 'Tiger Seal' to ensure it fitted well
