Have a 1984 944. Still in pretty good shape. But I’m having real issues with the coolant system. Hoses have been replaced but every time I start her up and go driving it overheats and then dumps every drop of antifreeze. Not sure if the hoses are bad or the repair is bad. Really having issues finding anyone to work on it.
Any leads in Phoenix Arizona USA is appreciated.

My first though was airlock but they don't generally dump ALL the coolant. When was the cambelt last changed, was the water pump changed at the same time. Is there flow in the radiator? These things are pigs for airlocks. Refill it, jack the back up as high as possible, remove the front wheels to get it lower if possible. Remove the bleed screw on the thermostat housing and burp all the pipes. Warm it up & keep burping it. BEFORE it overheats turn it off and let it cool off. Refill the tank. When cool, refill it, restart it and repeat. Make sure you have the heater set to hot when you're doing all this, eventually the bleed point will run with no air bubbles.
Refit the bleed screw.
Unfortunately if the head gaskets old it and you've over heated it, the HG may have failed. BEVER EVER allow it to overheat, its all aluminium & will die.

Good luck

+1 on what Jim said!

Although it wont count for the total coolant loss, a non working fan will see that temp rise very quickly and contribute to it all being ejected. Should be easy enough to check and eliminate that (a) it is operational and (b) does come on when the engine reaches temp to need it.
