Hello all,

As per the title, I need to buy 4 inlet and 4 exhaust valve guides for my 1982 Porsche 924 Turbo (931).

Pelican Parts lists these for about US$8 each, but they are out of stock.
Porsche AG may or may not have these (depending who I speak to) but they are $180 each. Ouch.

To the best of my knowledge they are 9mm ID, 14.08mm OD. Not sure of length - 55-65mm I think.

I wonder if there is a VW/Audi guide that will fit these turbo heads??

Any leads much appreciated.

OK. Hi again.

PET is confusing. It lists oversize guides for 924 non turbo (046/048xx part numbers) with a '924' annotation. It lists oversize guides for 924 turbo (931xxx part numbers) with a '931' annotation. Nothing confusing so far.

But for standard size guides it only lists 046/048 part numbers with a '924' annotation. It does not list standard size guides with a 931xx part number nor with a '931' annotation.

So. Does this mean that for standard size guides, the same part (046/048 part number) is used in both 924 non turbo AND 924 Turbo??

If anyone is able to measure the length of 924 (2.0 litre) non turbo valve guides (inlet and exhaust) and they measure the same as for 924 turbo, then that would probably help resolve this confusion.
