Best fix is plastic welding or new, the plastic biodegrades over time, any fix will be a bit temporary

My undertrays were made of fibreglass and the araldite stuck really well to it, can't recall if the timing belt covers are as well...

I scrubbed everything with a good general purpose cleaner (Bilt Hamber Surfex HD) before repairing it to make sure all the oil, power steering fluid and coolant had been removed.

Put £50 of fuel in and went to a body shop about some cosmetic work before spring arrives as follows:
Repair and repaint dent to roof OSF area of sunroof corner.
Scuff where Makita tool box fell of the shelf and gouged paint through to metal around filler.
NS lower front wing repair (you know the one below the indiactor area).

Enjoy your weekend.

Leds in binnacle, highbeam, sidelights and indicators much better. Changed Immobiliser to touch key from Transducer which was a bit slow.
Mate bought a 2.5 for a steal, jersey car really nice.

All sorted don't think it was expensive he bought it locally. It had been stored by a collector for a few years and never used. Rust free and 60k on clock. He already has a 993 and a Kharman Ghia.

Finished fitting 1 of 2 retractor style rear seat belts from a S2. The rear passenger side one will be more difficult because the boot light is in the way. In retrospect I would probably fit manual three point belts as a much easier option. Still may do that on rear passenger side

Changed the TPS in this no-ending search to cure the misfire/hesitation on part throttle which is frustratingly intermitant. I did find in the wot position the resistance varied from zero to something. Fingers crossed. :dontknow:

Went for a long run on mixed roads and the car ran perfectly so it looks like the TPS was the problem all along. I'd tested it off the car previously and it checked out ok. So I now have a spare ECU,2 DME relays, AFM, FPR and a big hole in my pocket.

Bought a new OEM Offside Front Wing for my 968.. Shame that there wasn't an accompanying Nearside one, especially since both are now NLA from Porsche AG..

Why would you need a new wing, these don’t rust

If you ever wondered what was inside a TPS (not Turbo or 968). It's very simple. There was a lot of play in the rotating cam but fault was probably a bad contact.
