Only time will tell. Changed the oil temp guage for a VDO centigrage one from the fahrenhiet one supplied by Lindsey Racing. You can tell I'm bored. Looking for an MGA to restore but the prices are crazy, last one I bought was £45. Yes this was my car.

Since 2010 prices have gone nuts

I was thinking about a cheap Lotus Eclat, not a hope now

Yes I had 2, both roadsters although RKU29 started life as a coupe, it was in a sorry state when I got it.
Both cars ended up in Germany, I raced them both with a friend for 20yrs. One car ran with a Twin-Cam engine the other with a highly modified pushrod.

Made up a new gasket for the coolant bleed elbow. Then spent two hours trying to find the blasted ‘pan head’ screws that are supposed to hold it place. I am reliably informed that I put them in a plastic takeaway container with lid as I normally do. Finding said plastic container appears to be the issue

Washed it and used it for some essential shopping and local travel for exercise..

First time out of the garage this year. :)

Needed pics for assured value anyway.

Morning all,

It being the 1st of March I have just taxed my 968 for an optimistic 12 months. I do need to shuffle my cars around a bit as I have just bought a 1928 Delage DR 70 Saloon! I thought I would try something different!

It looked as though I was heading for MSUK not renewing my Speed competition licence following my heart by pass in 2019, but I now think they are going to renew it. they did renew it for 2020, I now think that Civid has messed things up a bit. In the meantime I was looking for a new direction to fill voids in my life and settled on an old saloon. Who knows I may do weddings!

Also made one of the biggest and cheapest improvements to my car today by swapping out the o ring in the idle control valve . Must have had a largish air leak before as really smoothed out the idle and brought the revs down 100 rpm so idling a constant 850 which is not bad for my mish mash engine . All for the cost of £2.50 !

Mine was in bits,

keep your eyes on the Aldi Website, when they have tool sales on, buy a box of assorted O rings, Save you a small fortune.

£2.50 for an O ring is expensive, I go to my local bearing shop when I need a load of what I dont have, Got a pile for the Honda VF1000, genuine came to about £45, I got Viton Rings all the same size for less than £10
