Weird 944 issue with locking

Post subject:  Weird 944 issue with locking

I guess the car has sunstroke. I lock the door and it immediately unlocks again. Same on both sides... 1989 car with factory central locking, anyone seen this before?

I had a Seat Leon that did that. It was eventually traced to the micro switch on one of the locks. Maybe, maybe not the problem with yours.

I had a mk2 golf that did that too (same handles too) we traced it to a slight air leak in the system and the pressure dropped forcing them open again - not sure if the 944 uses the same actual locking system tho

Do they stay down if locked individually?

Sometimes caused by one of the external door handles having a sticky release lever, alternatively can be caused by the rod or pin (the bit that flashes in the later models) jamming in the door card.

Thanks guys, will get on the handles with the WD40 tomorrow and give it a go!

Sorted, as Jon said it was the pin blocking the actuator. Thanks guys.
